IRA Donation Instructions

Did you know that you can support any of IEJI’s fiscally sponsored projects with a gift from your IRA?

The Incubator for Emerging Jewish Initiatives, Inc. (IEJI) is a 501(c)3 charitable organization. You can help fulfill your required minimum distribution from your IRA for the current calendar year and benefit one of IEJI’s projects. You can give any amount up to $111,000 per year from your IRA directly to a qualified charity without including the gift as a taxable distribution. This popular gift option is commonly called the IRA charitable rollover, but you may also see it referred to as a qualified charitable distribution, or QCD for short.

To Give from your IRA

  • Contact your retirement plan or IRA administrator (or visit their website)
  • Provide instructions in writing to transfer the amount you wish directly to IEJI. Note checks must be made payable to “The Incubator for Emerging Jewish Initiatives” and not the sponsored project.
  • Have the administrator reference the project’s name as the purpose for the gift, and have them include your name and address for IEJI and the project’s records.
  • Donations should be sent to:

The Incubator for Emerging Jewish Initiatives
8401 Connecticut Avenue, Suite 1260
Chevy Chase, MD 20815

  • EIN: 83-1432599

If your IRA administrator would like to transfer funds via ACH please contact Dara Steinberg.

If you have any questions, please contact the fiscally sponsored project or Dara Steinberg, IEJI’s Program Director at info@emergingjewish.org or (301) 660-5222.
